CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Although our premium synthetic hair extensions are of the highest quality, it remains crucial to provide them with proper care and tender loving care, just as you would for your natural hair. We've created a comprehensive aftercare guide to help you preserve the style, shape, and bounce of your hair extensions, ensuring they stay in a dreamy condition and remain incredibly soft from the weft to the tips.
Step-by-Step Guide
-
Step 1 - Gently Detangle
Begin by using a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle any knots or tangles in the hair. Always start from the ends and work your way upwards. Remember to be gentle and avoid forcefully pulling on the hair.
-
Step 2 - Shampoo
Wet the hair extensions with lukewarm water by letting it run through the strands. Apply a small amount of Hair shampoo to your palms and work up a lather. When shampooing, avoid harsh rubbing, pulling, or tugging on the hair. Instead, delicately distribute the lather along the hair length. Thoroughly rinse the hair extensions under running water until all traces of shampoo are completely washed out.
-
Step 3 - Condition
Apply your conditioner to the hair, with a focus on the ends where the hair might be drier. Gently work the conditioner into the strands using your fingers. Allow the conditioner to sit for a few minutes to deeply nourish the hair.
-
Step 4 - Final Rinse
Rinse the hair extensions under cool, running water to remove the conditioner entirely. Ensure that no residue is left behind. To ensure your pony is tangle free, gently run a wide tooth comb through your extensions whilst under running water.
-
Step 5 - Drying
Use a towel to gently pat the hair extensions dry. Avoid vigorous rubbing, as this can cause friction and damage to the synthetic fibers. Instead, gently press the towel against the hair to absorb excess water. Again, gently run a wide tooth comb through your pony to ensure there are no knots and your pony dries smooth and in shape.
-
Step 6 - Shape and Air-dry
To ensure your pony dries correctly, gently run a wide tooth comb through the pony ensuring the hair is knot free and smooth. From here, depending on the style of pony you can re-shape the pony into its original style. If curled or wavy, you can gently scrunch or push the curls back into shape. If the pony is straight, comb the pony out laying down and ensure there are no fly aways
By following these steps, you'll keep your MyPony Hair looking beautiful and well-maintained for longer periods. Remember, gentle care goes a long way in preserving the quality and appearance of your pony.
